Car Touchscreen Protector Installation Guide


What You'll Need:

  • Your vehicle-specific tCar Touchscreen Protector
  • Microfibre cleaning cloth (included)
  • Alcohol wipe (included)
  • Dust removal sticker (Included)
  • Credit card/ID

Before You Begin:

  • Clean installation works best at room temperature (18-24°C)
  • Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid fingerprints
  • Work in a dust-free environment when possible

Step-by-Step Installation:

1. Clean the Screen

  • Turn off your vehicle's infotainment system
  • Use the alcohol wipe to thoroughly clean the entire screen surface
  • Wipe in one direction to avoid streaks
  • Allow 30 seconds to air dry completely

2. Final Dust Removal

  • Use the microfibre cloth to remove any remaining dust or lint
  • Use the dust removal sticker for any stubborn particles
  • Ensure the screen is completely clean and dry


3. Position the Protector

  • Peel back about 2-3cm of the protective film from one edge
  • Align the protector carefully with your screen edges

4. Apply the Protector

  • Once aligned, slowly peel away the rest of the backing film
  • Use the application card to smooth the protector onto the screen
  • Work from the centre outwards to push out any air bubbles
  • Apply firm, even pressure as you go

5. Remove Air Bubbles

  • Small bubbles can be pushed to the edges using the application card
  • For stubborn bubbles, gently lift the nearest edge and reapply
  • Most small bubbles will disappear within 24-48 hours


Top Tips:

  • Take your time with alignment—you can reposition before pressing down firmly
  • If you need to remove and reapply, do so slowly to avoid stretching
  • Avoid using your touchscreen for the first hour after installation for best adhesion

Troubleshooting:

  • Dust under protector: Lift the edge carefully, use the dust sticker to remove the particle, then reapply
  • Large air bubbles: Lift and reapply that section, smoothing as you go
  • Misalignment: Carefully peel back and reposition before it fully adheres


Care Instructions:

  • Clean with a soft, dry microfibre cloth
  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners
  • Your protector is designed to last for years with proper care
